ArtsNaples World Festival Presents: “Estaciones de Tango” on April 1
Back by popular demand, ArtsNaples World Festival (http://www.ArtsNaples.org) presents “Estaciones de Tango: A Journey through the Four Seasons in Buenos Aires” on April 1. Naples-own dance legend, Pablo Repun, makes his festival return after performing to a sold-out crowd at the 2013 ArtsNaples World Festival. He will perform alongside his dancers; the Anibal Berraute Sextet; and singer Hugo Daniel in this sensational tour of the seasons. This dazzling show will highlight the tango through a journey of the seasons in Buenos Aires – including autumn, which tends to be cloudy, rainy, and gray, so everyone keeps their spirits up by dancing into the wee hours; winter, where residents bundle up by day and haunt the milongas at night to warm up their bodies and their souls; springtime, where the air is warm and the tango moves outdoors; and finally summer, when a hot, humid, and sultry spirit descends on the barrios. In Buenos Aires, people dream of a holiday, so tango goes to the beach, the mountains, or even abroad. It’s the season of Piazzola. “Estaciones de Tango” ticket options include premium seats for $65 or general admission seats for $45. Premium ticket holders are invited to a private champagne reception with Pablo Repun in the lobby of the Sugden Theatre at 6:45 p.m. To purchase tickets, please visit www.artsnaples.org, or www.pablorepuntango.com, or call 888.613.8488.
