Ride 4 Hope event to benefit Hope HealthCare Services, Feb. 15
Ride 4 Hope, an annual bicycling event that supports Hope HealthCare Services, takes place Saturday, Feb. 15, beginning at Joanne’s House at Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, 27200 Imperial Parkway. Participants can choose from a 50-, 25- or 10-mile ride, followed by brunch for all riders. Check-in for the event begins at 7 a.m., with the 50-mile ride departing at 7:30 a.m., the 25-mile ride at 8:30 a.m., and the 10-mile ride at 9:30 a.m. The $40 entry donation includes brunch, a Ride 4 Hope T-shirt and gift bag. The annual event was established by founder Bill Curtis, a longtime Hope volunteer, to honor the memory of loved ones, raise awareness and support those with complex needs related to life-changing illness. Curtis, who rides his age in miles each year, originally asked friends and family to support Hope by riding with him or donating to his favorite charity – and the idea of Ride 4 Hope was born. “Ride 4 Hope reminds us that the care provided at Hope Hospice helps people live life as fully as possible, offers dignity to every individual, and surrounds families with love,” said Curtis. Every dollar raised at Ride 4 Hope benefits Hope’s mission of providing exceptional care and support to individuals and their families as they fulfill life’s journey. Ride 4 Hope event sponsors include Trek Bicycle of Estero and Naples, Walgreens, T3, Naples Beach Brewery, 21st Century C.A.R.E., Landex, CLA Landscaping Inc. and CRS Technology Consultants.
