Ikebana Naples Meeting on December 4, 2013
The December 4th meeting of Naples Ikebana will feature another of the beautiful Japanese schools within the organization, the Ikenobo School. This school is one of the oldest and most traditional of the schools, a tradition born in Japan over 550 years ago and once restricted to male aristocracy. The presentation and workshop will be led by esteemed teacher Stephanie English President of the local Ikenobo chapter and Senior Professor who will demonstrate a holiday design. Participants will be able to take home a flower design of their own creation in the Ikenobo style. This timely event will require advanced registration and an estimated charge of about $5.00. An added feature to the morning will be a holiday ginza or marketplace and a light luncheon. Please go to the website www.ikebananaples.com for further information about registration and preparation instructions. Monthly meetings are held at the Moorings Presbyterian Church, Moss Hall at 9 a.m. on the first Wednesday of the month. The Church is located at 791 Harbour Drive one block west of 41 just north of Clive Daniels furniture store.
