Tanteo Tequila dinner at Agave Southwestern Grill & Tequila Bar
Agave Southwestern Grill & Tequila Bar is hosting a four-course tequila dinner featuring Tanteo Tequila Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. Executive Chef Juan De LaRosa designed the dinner to showcase Agave’s contemporary Southwestern menu: chiles en angada, beef and dried fruit stuffed chile relleno with an almond-cherry cream and pomegranate, paired with Tanteo Jalapeno; pan-seared hog snapper with a papaya-mango salsa and pina colada butter, paired with Tanteo Tropical; ancho-coco rubbed venison tenderloin and roasted fingerlings with a mole dulce, paired with Tanteo Cocoa; and coffee-infused churros with spiced chocolate, paired with Patron XO. Tanteo Tequila is made with ultra-premium blanco tequila and hand-infused with fresh, all natural ingredients, putting a modern twist on tradition. Jimadors use the same traditional techniques used for hundreds of years to plant, tend and harvest the blue weber agave plant from the volcanic soils of Jalisco lowlands in Mexico. Tanteo Tequila is in infused with 100 percent agave tequila with elements of traditional Mexican cuisine. Tanteo Jalapeno’s mild flavor mingles well with the agave base, which results in a unique tequila with a heat. Tanteo Cocoa is roasted, malted and raw cocoa, reminiscent of the traditional mole, infused into our 100 percent agave tequila, resulting in a peppery, yet semi-sweet cocoa taste. Tanteo Tropical, an ultra-premium blanco tequila, is infused with locally grown fresh cut mango, pineapple and guanabana with a dash of jalapeno, resulting in a tequila with a fruity flavor and spice. The tequila dinner is priced at $50 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Space is limited and reservations are required at 239-598-3473.
