3rd Annual Scope for Hope Run/Walk Benefiting Local Colorectal Cancer Patients

  • Print

21st Century C.A.R.E., the Ft. Myers-based charitable foundation that provides support and assistance to cancer patients in need, is presenting the 3rd annual Scope for Hope Run/Walk to raise funds for colorectal cancer screening, treatment and educational programs. The event’s goal is to erase the stigma behind the second leading cancer killer in the United States, coinciding with Colorectal Cancer Awareness month, observed in March. Scope for Hope is divided into a 5K run and a 2-mile Kids’ Fun Run/Walk. The top three male and female finishers in the 5K in each age group will receive a medal. All participants in the Kids’ Fun Run/Walk will receive a medal as well. The first 700 registered participants will receive a gift bag with race t-shirt and giveaways. There is a $30 registration fee for adults and $15 registration fee for youth (17 and younger). The fee goes up to $35 on race day. All funds raised will be used in Southwest Florida for colorectal cancer programs, including screening, treatment, awareness and education.

Occurs once: Mar 23, 2013 (7:00 AM to 12:00 PM)
