17th ANNUAL JUNIOR CYPRESS CATTLE DRIVE & RODEO
CLEWISTON, FL - Saturday, March 23, 2013 Ride aboard a Swamp Buggy or horse at the 17th Annual Junior Cypress Cattle Drive & Rodeo held on the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation. This years Honorary Trail Boss is the late Albert Billie, one of the original Big Cypress cattlemen. The good old-fashioned family fun will continue through the afternoon with a traditional BBQ dinner, Seminole Okalee Indian Village animal show and official EIRA (Eastern Indian Rodeo Association) rodeo. Natives often bartered cattle with immigrants, and they traded cattle with Spaniards as far back as the 1600’s.
