Commemoration of Fort Myers' U.S. Colored Troops Community Celebration

During the Civil War, the 2nd Infantry Regiment of the U.S. Colored Troops served right here in Fort Myers! Join us on this family friendly day to learn about these proud men and what their lives were like almost 150 years ago! This fun filled day will include: a reenactment of camp life by the 2nd Infantry Reg. USCT Reenactment Unit and Living History Association, Exhibition of Civil War Artifacts, Debut of new USCT Museum display, and children's games and activities! Help us celebrate this unique aspect of Fort Myers' proud history!
