A Florida Lady of Firsts
One Woman Show presenting the life of Ruth Bryan Owen Rhode. She was the first lady from the Deep South to serve in Congress. Bonnie Bozzo portrays her life in the first person as she goes thru her life as daughter to the famous William Jennings Bryan (of famed Scopes Monkey Trial), as wife, mother, divorcee, nurse, widow, college professor, legislator, the first woman diplomat to represent America abroad, the only woman on the committee to write the United Nations Charter and the first woman delegate to serve in the General Assembly. A remarkable rendition of reminiscences which are remarkable and informative while entertaining the audience.
