Action for Cheetahs in Kenya
We are seeing spots at the Kansas City Zoo and it's all in the name of cheetah conservation. Did you know a cheetah can accelerate to 70 mph strides in just seconds? Mary Wykstra, Director of Action for Cheetahs in Kenya (ACK), is traveling across America to educate us about these super fast-inating creatures. On Tuesday, October 16, Mary is making a stop at the Kansas City Zoo. Hear what is happening with cheetahs in the wild from someone who works directly in their territory. A meet and greet with drinks and appetizers will take place at 5:30 p.m. Then at 6 p.m. settle into the auditorium for the main event. The cost is only $5 for FOTZ members, $10 for non-FOTZ member Jackson or Clay County Residents, or $15 for non-FOTZ members. Register online today and make a difference for cheetahs in the wild.
