"GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays" Seminar & Luncheon
Are you dreading the thought of having to face this Holiday season without a loved one who has died? Our Surviving the Holidays seminar will help you prepare for the challenges that can make this time of year so difficult for those who are grieving, and find the strength, comfort and hope you’ll need to make it through Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and every other day. To learn more about the seminar and find other helpful resources, please visit http://www.griefshare.org/holidays. We encourage grieving families to attend this event together. Teens may view the seminar video with adults, then break into a separate group during our discussion time. We will also be offering a special lesson and activities for children (ages 5 through 12) in an adjacent room. Nursery care is available for children under 5. The registration and payment deadline is Wednesday, October 31. Every person must be pre-registered (regardless of age), so we can make sure that we’ll have enough volunteers, materials, and food to serve everyone. Please contact Ellen Morgenstern at firstname.lastname@example.org or (239) 642-7165 to let us know the number (and names) of all people attending, and whether they are adults, teens, or children (specify their ages). The $10 per adult/teen registration fee includes a “Holiday Survival Guide” workbook and lunch. (Scholarships are available for anyone who can’t afford to pay.) There is no fee for children under 13. Please make your check payable to “Wesley United Methodist Church”, write “STH - 11/10/12” on the memo line, and mail it to the address given below after you register. Remember: You are not alone! Receiving support, encouragement, and advice from others who have “been there” may be the best Holiday gift you can give yourself and your family this year! Please join us -- You’ll be really glad that you came!
