St. Vincent de Paul, Sacred Heart Conference, in Punta Gorda will hold a rummage sale on Saturday, June 2, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at its distribution center at 25200 Airport Road, on the northeast corner of Taylor and Airport Roads. A variety of household items, furniture, clothing, shoes, jewelry, books and more will be available. No merchandise may be inspected nor sold before 8 a.m. Proceeds will help the organization provide much-needed assistance to deserving families and individuals throughout Charlotte County. If it rains, the sale will be rescheduled to June 9. SVDP is an international Catholic lay organization founded in 1833 to serve the poor, regardless of religious affiliation. It provides food, clothing, home furnishings, and financial assistance to individuals and families in need.
