Heritage Polka Festival
Heritage Polka Festival March 10 & 11, 2012 (Formerly the Oktoberfest in March) Lehigh Acres, Florida, March 2, 2012 – Majestic Golf Club and Lee County Volunteers in Medicine announced that the first Heritage Polka Festival will take place on March 10 & 11, 2012 at Majestic Golf Club on 350 Homestead Rd. S, Lehigh Acres, Florida 33036. The Heritage Polka Festival is the former “Oktoberfest in March”. The through Radio and TV well known “Queen of Polka” Barefoot Becky and the Ivanhoe Dutchmen will be performing on both festival days. In addition the Florida Snow Bird Polka Band will play on Saturday. On Sunday a Polka Jam Session, were local polka music talents can perform for the audience, will end the festival. A wood dance floor invites all polka dancers. Food and beverages will be available. Bring your lawn chair. Admission will be $10.00 per person, per day. Parking is free. During the festival guest can participate in dance games and raffles. The Heritage Polka Festival will start on both days at 1:00 pm. Music will be played until 7:00 pm. Parts of the proceeds will go to the Lee County Volunteers In Medicine and the Make A Wish Foundation.
