Registration for the third annual St. Vincent de Paul Walk For The Poor, a vital fundraiser to help the needy in Charlotte County, is under way. The WALK will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 211 W. Charlotte Avenue, in Punta Gorda. It is organized by the SVDP District Council of Charlotte County Florida Inc. Walkers are asked to raise donations to help the four St. Vincent conferences in the county continue to provide food, clothing, home furnishings, household goods and financial assistance to qualified families and individuals. In case of rain, the Walk will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 29.
