About Angela

I am honored to be back in my hometown after being away since leaving for the University of Florida upon graduation of Estero High School several years ago.

My family goes back many generations in SW Florida. In fact, my relatives on my father's side were some of the original settlers on Bokeelia, Pine Island dating back more than 100 years ago.

Since leaving Fort Myers and graduating UF, I have spent more than a decade reporting for various television stations across the country, including stations in Tennessee, Georgia, and most recently WPTV, the NBC affiliate in West Palm Beach. I have interviewed death row inmates, Presidential candidates, and foreign leaders. Still, some of my most profound work has come from telling the stories of everyday people. I truly loved being a journalist.

My passion for bettering our country led me to leave TV news in 2010 to work for a United States Congressman on Capitol Hill in Washington DC, running his media department and working as his spokesperson. I had the chance to be interviewed and speak on a national level throughout my time in DC, and learned the inner workings of our government. It was a life changing experience.

I decided to return to my hometown after the 2012 Presidential election when a charity near and dear to my heart, Big Brothers Big Sisters, was looking for a local director to help launch it in SW Florida.

As fate would have it, I would also end up back in television, working to bring SW Florida viewers the daily traffic commute every 10 minutes on the “4’s” from 5- 8 am on Fox 4 Rising.

Please feel free to drop me a line sometime.
