About Gabrielle

I joined Fox 4 in September 2011 as a general assignment reporter. I was born and raised in South Africa and lived in London before settling in New York.

I began my on-air career with WCTV in Tallahassee as its Valdosta bureau chief. I was a digital journalist juggling six south Georgia counties and reported from Atlanta to cover the Georgia General Assembly. I extensively reported on the methamphetamine epidemic gripping rural Georgia. And presented viewers with the dilemma counties face since the Drug Enforcement Administration cut funding for meth lab cleanup.

My broadcast career began with the CBS Evening News in New York, where I was most recently an associate producer. I helped cover national news, including Hurricane Katrina, the Virginia Tech shootings and Campaign '08. My first assignment was producing a weekly segment, American Heroes, that profiled the lives of soldiers killed or wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I earned a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in history from New York University. During college, I lived in Florence and traveled throughout Europe.

My past-times include exploring the world, meeting interesting people, cooking, reading voraciously and I'm a devoted dog-lover.

Storytelling is my passion and making a difference my goal. I'd love to get answers to your dilemma to effect change.  Feel free to send me story ideas or just drop me a line.
