MIAMI (AP) - A Miami federal judge has imposed a 13 1/2-year sentence on the convicted ringleader of a plot to stage terror attacks against Chicago's Sears Tower and FBI offices. The judge issued the sentence for 35-year-old Narseal Batiste. Prosecutors had sought the maximum 70-year sentence.

SANFORD, Fla. (AP) - A central Florida radio host accused of shooting his wife while aiming at her dog has pleaded guilty. Shannon Burke was given a jail sentence of 6 months after pleading guilty to cruelty to animals for shooting the dog and using a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.

NAPLES, Fla. (AP) - The hunter who went missing in the Big Cypress National Preserve earlier this week has been found safe. A team of searchers found Jamey Mosch this morning. The team had been calling out to him for about three hours when they heard him answer back.

SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) - Sarasota's police chief has been suspended for two weeks and an officer was fired after an investigation into a disorderly intoxication arrest. Authorities say an officer was seen on surveillance video kicking a handcuffed suspect during the June 26th arrest.
