ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - Two teenagers have been arrested after shots were fired outside of a St. Petersburg nightclub that had been rented out for a youth dance.
When police arrived early Thursday morning, there was a large crowd in front of the building. Two teens started running, an unidentified 16-year-old and 18-year-old Eric Jones. Police say at some point during the chase, the 16-year-old threw a gun over a fence.
The 16-year old was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest without violence and a probation violation for a previous felony.
Jones was cited with resisting arrest without violence. He's being held in the Pinellas County Jail on $150 bail.
No one was injured in the shooting.
