4 In Your Corner is still getting flooded with emails from people who are outraged about Lee County Electric Cooperative, also known as LCEC. Last week Tom Kinney started a Facebook page called "LCEC Sucks." When he first started the page he had less than ten members. After we aired a story about the page, that number jumped to almost seventy overnight. Now the page has more than one hundred members.

LCEC Elections: All LCEC members (customers) are entitled to vote. Votes are taken by mail, telephone and internet, according to LCEC's newsletter. Elections start in March. The following board seats are up for re-election in 2010: District 2, Seat 1 - Cape Coral District 2, Seat 3 - Cape Coral District 6 - Everglades City
LCEC Board Meetings: The next LCEC Board meeting will be Thursday, February 18th at 9:30am at the North Fort Myers office (4980 Bayline Drive). Board meetings are usually held the third Thursday of each month at 9:30am, according to LCEC's newsletter.
