The Harry Chapin food bank is making a plea for poultry.

The food bank provides Thanksgiving meals for most local aid groups, but organizers there say they won't be able to help as much as usual.

They need 6000 turkeys to meet local demand, but, just two weeks away from Thanksgiving, they only have 500.
