KEY LARGO, Fla. (AP) - Two Texans have won overall men's and women's half-marathon titles at the inaugural Jewfish Creek Bridge Run in the Florida Keys.

Jeff Burrows, a 37-year-old airline flight dispatcher from Dallas, placed a time of 1 hour, 26 minutes and 12 seconds on Saturday. Houston resident Alison Dunn ran 1:34:32 to win the womenÂ’s division.

Earning top honors in the 5k menÂ’s division was Jon Williams of Miami with a time of 18 minutes, 10 seconds. Tavernier, Fla., resident Joan Scholz's time of 22:01 earned her the womenÂ’s title.

Almost 800 runners from 24 states, the United Kingdom, Germany and Canada participated in the contest. For 2010 and future events, organizers announced they will change the name to the Key Largo Bridge Run.
