MIDLAND, Mich. (AP) - America's Northwood University and China's Jilin University are collaborating on a program to train car dealers for China, the globe's biggest vehicle market.

Northwood says about 30 Chinese students will attend classes at its campus in Cedar Hill, Texas. Northwood also has campuses in Midland, Mich., and West Palm beach, Fla.

Jilin University is based in Changchun, China.

The students are participating in Northwood's established 4-year degree program in automotive management and marketing.

Automakers sold 1.2 million cars and trucks in China last month, compared with 838,000 in the U.S. China has about 1.3 billion people, while the U.S. has about 300 million.
