Four years ago the Resort At Marina Village was dirt and a dream. Today, it's wowing its first guests.
Angelo Gazze just got in from Toronto. Little did he know he'd be the hotel's first guests. "No idea they told us we were the first guests here just unbelievable."
Jim Crumbie is President of Grosse Point Development. He says the uniqueness of the resort will keep it viable for years to come with 267 hotel rooms and 184 condo-like deluxe suites to buy. It's already become a major employer in the Cape, with 130 people now on staff. "We're hoping as business starts to grow around the first of the year, we're going to be calling back some of the others we were unable to hire at that time that we were really impressed with."
There's even more to come with a waterfront restaurant set to open mid November.
