Today the Fort Myers Police Department arrested 20 year old Edward Jackson Jr., of 4167 Pinedrop Lane, for 2nd Degree Murder stemming from the murder of Colbert Luster on Central Avenue back in October. Detectives developed Jackson as a suspect and then received a tip that he was staying at the Golf View Motel located at 3523 Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers, just North of Winkler, and South of Hansen. This morning police surrounded the motel. Jackson attempted to flee on foot out the back window but was taken into custody without incident.
Back on October 14th, Luster's body was found in a ditch near Fort Myers Middle School.
