The Lee County Health Department says a child attending Oak Hammock Middle School in Tice has tested positive for tuberculosis.
That child is staying home from school and letters have been sent home with the children who shared classes with the ill student. The health department is asking those parents to have their child tested on Monday.
The school will remain open.
